That's awful. I'm so sorry that your abusive ex has manipulated your children like that.

I was talking about a specific kind of parent in this article. I hope that was clear. I most certainly didn't mean people like yourself who are abuse survivors and their partner has manipulated their children. I also know that some parents have children who grow up to be abusive/dangerous and need to cut ties for that reason. Not all cases of estrangement are the same and I tried to get that across in this piece.
